I remember

I remember a time when
we used to devote
so much time to each other
that it virtually stood still.

A time when happiness was not only Dependant on one another,
but, more than anything,
it was discovered together.

A time when, together,
we were discovering new things
in the world around us,
but more importantly,
we were discovering new things
about each other.

A time when the phrase I love you
did not yet come as second nature,
but held so much meaning,
that we felt we could not compose
its intensity.

I remember a time when...
I did not have
to miss you so much.
