Every Scar Has A Story

by Rachele   Jul 19, 2005

This is a song I wrote, not a poem:

Verse 1:
That there is number 73. I'll tell you the story you wanna know about me. That one there is because he said I was useless. I guess he's right, cause I know I'm worthless. The one over there's because he called me a freak. Well can you hear that beep? It's the sound of my heart slowly fading away. I guess it's because of the words they say.

Chorus:
It's amazing how a simple meaning of a word could turn around your whole world. I really wish people would think before they speak, cause you never know how much you can make a person feel weak. It's weird how a simple word you say, could make a person cut that way.

Verse 2:
That scar over there, that's because of the clothes I wear. Cause you can't seem to bear your daughter being her own person. But that's all you do is make the pain worsen. Can you see number 3? That's when I was on my knees, thinking about my life, and who I wanna be. Number 42, that's because I wasn't just like you. Cause I remember how you left me out, and you filled my head with doubt.

Chorus

Bridge:
I guess it's true what they say, every scar has a meaning. Well you don't have to worry, cause this is my story.

Chorus

I like that, and even though its not a poem its excellent. Im a cutter and I know how it feels to be rapped up in it. The scars that are endless and I can remember what each one stands for. This poems perfect.
