The Consequences Of Cutting

by TragicRomance   Jul 20, 2005

Sometimes the pain, she just can't bear,
she thought no one would ever care;

One day, it came to the point where she did was cry,
she was thinking that she wanted to die;

She turned to a knife, thought it would help,
all she thought about was cutting herself;

She thought cutting would ease the pain,
but deep inside, it was making her insane:

Se cut herself once- thought it was OK,
she cut herself twice- the very next day:

She cut herself when times got tough,
each time, getting more and more rough:

She would do it each time, without a weap,
until one day, she cut too deep:

Blood was gushing from her own wrist,
She was now thinking, so much she missed:

She is thinking inside her head, why,
now, at this point, she didn' want to die:

She didn't know that this is how it would end,
on that blade, she'd always depend:

She looked at her wrist, then at the knife,
the knife that marked the end of her life:

    You painted a great picture of what can happen by using cutting as their escape.Well-written poem, I usually don’t like poems about cutting. This one has a good message, so there is always an exception. Tke Care! Brooke~
