Once; Again

by Pete   Jul 20, 2005

Shakespeare once wrote;
"could i compare thee to a summer's day?"
All I am sure, you are comparable to nothing.
Inside, so warm and friendly, loving and kind,
Bubbly like an Aero melting on my tongue.
Your beautiful face flashes again and again inside my head
I long to see it with my eyes once again.

Skin, so soft, smooth and warm. My hands, yearn
to feel your soft, olive warm skin once again.
The way you move, appears so effortless and graceful.
My bed nor clothes no longer carry your scent or the
smell of that perfume you wore. The smell of your flowing
dark hair once held on my pillow - has gone.

I hope for another chance to gaze into those eyes
once again, like nothing i have ever seen.
I could stare at those galaxy-like swirls
for days and nights, my mind engulfed. I want to hold
you in my arms, to feel your lips locked against
mine, to hear your heart beating with mine. Just to
hear your voice say "I Love You" once again.
To call you my Beautiful, once; again.

Truly touching poem...really captures your lost love and yearning...
You must be a natural, because from that it doesn't seem like you're new at this.
Sorry your girlfriend split up with you...that can be rough...but that's great that writing made it so you could forget those thoughts... :)
