Her Lover

by Louise   Jul 21, 2005

Two young lovers split by death,
The grief, pain and realisation,
She would be going home alone,
Empty arms, empty house, empty heart,
No more laughter, no more happiness,
Only tears and pain,
As her lover is laid to rest,
In his final resting place,
On his own,
With only memories to keep him warm,
Her tears flowed as there song was played,
The grief sunk in,
When his face disappeared beneath the coffins lid,
As it was closed for the final time,
The fact that he wasn’t there to comfort her,
Tore her apart, bit by bit,
One lonely girl,
Mourning her loss but never forgetting him,
Her Lover
