My Chained Heart.

Words once spoken
Can not be forgotten
The past can not be erased.

You took my heart
I lent you the Key
Trusting you to keep it safe
Or someday return it to me.

Instead you ran off with another bloke
Taking with you the Key.
The doors have closed my heart is sealed.
Never again to be freed

Though i attempt to open my heart to others
The doors are closed shut.
A part of me will always be sealed
never to be unlocked.

I try to get on with my life
Searching for the one.
But the time has come and passed
The lost can not be undone.

So ill take this pain to an early grave
No reason to go on.
My one true love has come and gone
My fate has been resolved.

    Very lyrically written that in such a way this makes your poem unique from all the other love poems about lost love. I also like the constant form, the second stanza is my favourite.
