Childhood Friend

You were always there to catch me when I fall
and make me feel about 10 foot tall
Even when things turned out Bad
You stopped me feeling Sad

Even though we never saw eye to eye
You never told me one single lie
I missed you every single day
But full of Pride I could not say.

It came as quite a shock
to hear you'd died alone
without your family near
I wiped away a tear

Through all the lies we spread about
The times we’d cry and shout
I’ve never forgotten the childhood friend
