We Shall Stand Defiant!!!!

by Kane Burden   Jul 22, 2005

** Rally to the people affected by the Incidents of London 7/7**

We Shall stand defiant
Never will we be subjugated
You have attacked us at the roots
But they are far from severed.

This Nation will not be intimidated
We will never be suppressed.
Life will go on for Londoners, with the backing of the Nation.

We need no pitty from others.
For we shall not fear.
We will mourn the dead, and unite under one flag.
This event will not deteriorate the love for this Nation
Nor the people that make it great.

But the bad apple's amongst the bunch.
Will swiftly be removed.
Never will we allow one bad apple
to spoil the rest.

We will hunt down the perpetrators
And destroy them at their roots.
It is only a matter of Time
But this nation will come out on top.

A great poem that goes to the heart. I also like the "apple" metaphor, amazing idea.
I wrote a poem on the same event called "United Europe in dolor".

    Lots of love

Awesome poem! I love the wording in it. My favorite line is:

"But the bad apple's amongst the bunch.
    Will swiftly be removed.
Never will we allow one bad apple
    to spoil the rest."

    Keep it up!! :D:D

Strong words, its so sad what happened, so stupid, ridiculous and just heartbreaking, i just wish they could leave others alone, all those memories those innocent people held when they passed away, all the stories they held, it just breaks you apart. Stay strong...

KANE! I'm sorry! I have to comment! It's just that I feel the exact same about 9/11 in America! It's really patriotic! I loved it!
