The Last of You

by ChaoticStreamOfLife   Jul 23, 2005

Wiping away my tear with the hand you once held
You stood there without a care
Crying out my heart that you so strongly nailed
Silently I was begging you with a prayer
So unusual you looked as a Picasso painting
You are the one I gave my heart to
Slowly and surely away my life was fainting
All this torturous misfortune was inflicted by you
Like you always were why weren’t you there?
Embracing me, expressing life will soon be ok
And softly stroking through my hair
Instead, you only pushed me further from you away
You stood there looking immune to emotion
Not a touch you gave me or spoke a word
Suddenly you made your move of motion
Away you walked and your footsteps are the last I heard
