Fear

by Frozen Dreams   Jul 24, 2005

She looks perfect,
Her dress snowy white,
Dripping with diamonds,
Her veil falls down her back,
Like a silken waterfall,
She smiles slightly,
But it’s more like a grimace,
She looks graceful and controlled,
But inside she's screaming,
No one can hear her,
No one can save her,
She’s trapped in her own body,
And desperate to get out,
She finds herself walking,
Sedately down the isle,
But searching all the while,
For someone who can help her,
But it's no use,
She’s alone in her agony,
She has to resign herself,
To the two words she fears,
Most in the world,
Signifying pain and anguish,
A hoarse whisper,
I do.

really good. Most poems are about happy brides, i like that you depict a different side. I would love your opinion on my work.
