Sunset of my heart

by Frozen Dreams   Jun 25, 2005

The colors shoot into the sky,
Like the feelings from my heart,
They try to keep the night from coming,
As I try to keep us from falling apart.

The sky’s a dusky purple streaked with gold,
Like my sorrows streaked with hope,
But as the twilight takes its grip,
I realize I can’t cope.

As the sun disappears,
So does everything I’ve dreamt,
The faded tint of light helps as,
Little as the countless tears I’ve wept.

When the sky turns inky black,
A shadowy darkness seeps through me,
The sky feels the sun has gone forever,
Like you have gone for eternity.
