Frozen

by Frozen Dreams   Jul 23, 2005

The cold eats away at her,
Gnawing through the clammy skin,
Only a feeble blue light clings on,
The last of her aura,
Underneath the pale blue,
Her red heart pulses,
Still strong,
While her frail body fades away,
She feels the numb throbbing pain,
Relentless,
And she's helpless,
Her heart refuses to stop,
Her wings hang useless,
From her back,
Her tears have frozen,
In their tracks,
She's a broken angel,
Destroyed by passion,
Crippled by her own obstinacy,
And frozen by the fear of change.

And when you walk by a frozen angel,
Take a moment to think,
Love is cruel and merciless,
Lovers fall right over its brink.
