The special fling

by joey   Jul 24, 2005

My mind constantly slips back
Triggered by the pictures in front of the window
That I spend countless hours gazing out of at the stars

My heart yearns to be back there
Letting the ocean steal all my fears
While the stars shined and the moon lingered
With a romantic glow revealing an angel's face

A short week, that left an engraving to last a lifetime
Several days and I developed unbearable desires
All under the stars guided by the soft crashing of the waves
You went straight to my heart
From the first sight

How much I yearn to go away with you
To have my hand on you once more
Leading me to a great feeling
That my mind vividly remembers
Like all the flirting and fun I miss

The walk lasted for an eternity
Our hot feet was soothed by the cool sand
And my heart relieved by the feel of your hand
Your words were music to my ears
And i doubt anyone would understand
That I was willing to do anything to keep you here

Abruptly it all ended, and now thousands of miles away
I wish upon every shooting star
That there was a way I could've stayed
Now, I just stare off into the mystical night
Remembering the way the crush felt from first sight
How bright my eyes glowed when I saw you
and the memorable walk when I felt heaven's kiss
Which gave me reasons to write these poems
That are more of lists
For the reasons that when I see your face in the picture
Endless smiles break across my face
Of how much I still remember that kiss
That so dearly I miss.
