Patiently Waiting

by joey   Feb 11, 2006

And I'm sitting next to you
But I don't think you can see
The heart that's laying on my sleeve
Or the words upon my lips
Of the longing from within

Looking into your deep green eyes
I finally understand who I want to be

When your around time always stops
My heart speeds out of control
And my breathes become abrupt and staccato

Sweet and soft melodies fill my head
Played by the dreams of my heart
My desire is to stop hiding what's tearing me apart
And let you know what my poems are truly about

I want you to know, I never miss,
So when you fall I'll be the one
who brings you home
and lays you in your bed you in your bed
With a good night kiss

I'm just looking for my chance
To get your attention, and show the world how I feel
That I really care, and this is real

And your eyes are my north star
That have lead me to where you are
They've taught me where I ought to be
And that's right here, holding you closer to me

I'll be right here waiting as long as I have to
Because no one makes me feel
Quite the same way as you do
