Incomplete

I had my chance and made mistakes,
It is over now.

Even if I could do it over again,
I wouldn't know how.

I've wanted to ask you back, and back,
Ask you to forgive.

But I cannot smother you or torture you,
I must let you live.

I will long for you and yearn for you,
I will miss you forever.

Regret clouds the choice I made,
