Just A Friend

I remember when we were the best of friends,
now this hate transcends,
I don't know where I went wrong,
what I did, why I don't belong,
but I miss those days of yore,
I miss those days that came before,
but here I am all alone,
I'm lost inside with this hatred shown,
I just want to say, that I want to be,
a friend to you, and you a friend to me,
all I want is to be a friend, just a friend,
why can't that be, why must it end?
