Lipstick Stain

by Truly in Love   Jul 26, 2005

We were living in promise land
To hold, I was given many hands
But I chose yours
To my diseases, i thought you had
the cures

Following your rules, I played the love game
But in your heart, I couldn't find my name

Every time, you made a fake promise
And left me with your kiss

Yet, I couldn't find love there
What did I do?
Was this fair?
All I said was that I love you

I lay waiting in bed
The clock moving past midnight
Your thoughts moving around my head
Soon I saw the morning light

My mind taking turns
As to where you were
Could it be so, that you were with her?

Soon you were home,
trying to explain
But something else was speaking,
On your shirt, the lipstick stain

You tore my heart open
And it couldn't be mend
I thought our love would last
But this was the end...
