Cold Desire

by Just Sierra   Jul 26, 2005

Don't waste your breath
The end is now near
But please don't worry anymore
There is nothing left to fear

When you've come across
The many things I have seen
It's enought o make anyone go crazy
Enough to make you scream

Yet somehow I've managed
To avoid a tempting death
By thanking God for all I have
And worshipping every breath

But you try to live
The same way as I do
And you'll find yourself as someone else
No longer will you be you

You see, when you've seen the things I've seen
The nights can only grow longer
And you sit bewildered in the shadows
There's no way you can be stronger

Your mind begins to sink beneath
The weight of relentless despair
Then illusions of a happiness
Disappear to the middle of nowhere

And when you've heard
The many threats that I have heard
I'd like to see your reaction
At the impact of every word

In this disaster of a life
You think you're on your own
The strange glances don't help any,
They just make you feel alone.

I've struggled with these negative thoughts
But now the end draws near
The question left is will I die???
Or will I remain here?

For the time being,
I guess I'll close my eyes,
And block my ears from the voices
And the constant lies

I'm not going to listen anymore
Because I have to mend
I have to heal the open wounds
Before I can pretend.

So here I'll be,
Sitting lonely by the fire
Will you share the energy
Or will I die with cold desire?
