The Only Rose

by Synyster   Jul 27, 2005

Scrape the skin from my body
Pile it up and burn it down
Take these ashes and do what you will
Make me like you – perfect.
You’re painted like the sunset
You slain my eyes, you’re my bleeding Novocain
Yet it makes my stomach churn
To taste your agate eyes
Makes my veins like willows
I put my thoughts of you
Every night under my pillow
In hopes that they come true
And when the sun falls on this gray world
I wake in horror – it’s over
But then the thought comes
I have found the only rose
Without a single thorn
