Final minutes

by Laura   Jul 29, 2005

My emotions are running high
There's no where to turn
And everywhere I try to go
I get nothing but a burn
This burning is the fate
That I have come to earn
When I turned my back
My lessons I wouldn't learn
My eyes are growing heavy
My heart is beating slow
I'm sorry I won't ever get
To see how our love could grow
I couldn't take the pressures
Of the World that my life brought
But I'd be telling you a lie
If I said I hadn't fought
To stand my ground
And fight the costs
Of everything I'd given up
And everything I'd lost
I'm sorry I gave up
And couldn't fight the fight
I'm growing really weak
I see a big bright light
I'm sorry I gave up
On what we could have had
I couldn't take the pressures
Of everything gone bad
In my final minutes
I just want to say one thing
Never turn your back
On what your life may bring
Just face it and be strong
Always remember to smile
And you'll go very far
Or at least stand it for a while
