Abusive relationship

She sits in her bed
with her wrist bleeding red
she tried to resist
but she needed to see the blood on her wrists
he said they were over, they were done
she thought he was the one
why did it have to end
she will never be the same again
she thinks did i do something wrong
in his arms is where i belong
i wont let him see me cry
because i know thats weakness in his eyes
she cut again pretty deep
thinking this life i can not keep
in blood covered are her sheets
hoping to fall into a permanent sleep
she wakes the next morning in a bed
not her own someone said we thought u were dead
she was in a hospital she looked down
she knew she had lived she began to frown
then there he is by the door
he kissed her forehead but she wanted more
he leaned to her so he was near
and he said i love i am sorry dear
she said i love u too
and i forgive u
she was released from that bed
and he took her out to be fed
everything seemed so good
she was happy like she should
he was the only thing that could make her smile through her tears
one day she called him and said sweetie we have been together for a year
life seemed to be to good to be true
he was the only love she ever knew
she made him a little mad one day
he hit her but with him she stayed
he hit her more and more
threw her down stairs and into a door
she didn't tell anyone what he did
but the bruises she hid
she would go to school with long sleeves
cut herself to bring her ease
she was only thirteen
why did he have to be so mean
one day he went to far
grabbed her and threw her in the car
raped her and her he tried to kill
to one of her friends her secret she spilled
her friend told her she had to tell
she was always beat she knew the feeling well
her friend tried to help
but she said i need to help myself
that night she attempted suicide
when her friend found out she cried
went to the cops to report what was going on all of it
but the cops didn't care they wouldn't check it
because she was only "the friend"
she said it better not happen again
that night he raped her again
she grabbed a rock hit him in the head
before she knew it he was almost dead
she called the cops they didn't believe that she was raped
she said here and handed them a tape
what is this one cop said
this explains why he is almost dead
they watched the tape and locked him away
in jail for awhile he will stay
so finally this young girl was free
this little girl was me
