Blades of Resistance

I was laying in my bed
and i felt it come back
it settled on my chest like heavy molten lead
preparing for another brutal attack

It struck me like a stray bolt of lightning
it bound me in vines of superior strength
more expected than frightening
and i swear i will go to any length

to stop this from hurting me
letting it take me over
my luck has run out as far as I can see
I never found that four leafed clover

back to the snapping rubber bands
the slicing knifes
the sinking sands
all the wasted lives

I thought I had gotten better
but I had only gotten worse
and my eyes had only gotten wetter
this is some god dam.n curse

sent from hell to kill me inside
for I have committed so many sins
I will sit inside and bid myself
count all my losses and my wins

wait this terror out
no more happiness rains from the sky's
I'm stuck in a parched drought
chocked by all the prickly lies

they suck the sanity from me
I wonder what this shall turn out to be?

death for sure...
and i will go down willingly
sparing those who loved me a gentle goodbye
as i give on last final sigh
