My Shining Angel

You are so close to me at heart,
But physically you are so far,
Yet through poetry you know me,
And that’s where I too come for you.

You have read my cries for help,
And offer words to heal the wound.
And now I read your pleas,
And so deeply wish I could help you the same.

I will always try to give you comfort,
I will always try to bring your hopes up,
I will fight you if I have to,
If you say things that are so untrue.

You claimed you were a wreck at heart,
But honey you most certainly are not,
And if you are, then you are the most beautiful one of all,
Because you were there for me, and you still are.

You claim that nobody cares so keep it secrete, and locked up,
But again I announce I care for you with love,
Unleash the pain you hold, relief your worn down tattered soul,
Let me sow and stitch closed the gapping dieing wounds.

Let me be your stilts, so you can keep your self at ground level,
Let me be you boots, so you can travel through the harshest weather,
Let me be your coat, to keep you warm and simply hug you,
Let me be the hand that never hits you but simply comforts the tears and wasted wishes.

Let me be your shooting star or birthday candle,
Wish him gone and wish for a guardian angel.
Let me be that strand of never ending happiness and hope,
So I can feed your soul and fuel the tired heart.

I will be the mirror upon the bathroom wall,
To reflect your inner beauty, to reflect your truth you hold,
You cannot be disappointed you are so full of tender love,
You will be the fire works to the whole world.

You wonder why, someone like I, would go through so much trouble?
To give you the thanks and give you the needed comfort,
For you are the pure friend, my shining angel,
So let me help you as my effort it worth it.
