A Rose of Hope

Lost within in this dark world
No light upon the sky
Cannot see my hand in front of my face
The end feels so nigh

No stars to complete the night
Nothing here is right
No sun to enable sight
Nothing here is ever right

No grass upon the black dirt
I don’t belong here
Nothing to take away all the hurt
Nothing to wipe away the tears

Upon the horizon I see
Something I have never seen before
It’s so beautiful
So sweet and pure

I walk to the stem of its purity
To the stem of its goodness
And it’s a contrast to everything I have ever know
Nothing like the usual darkness

Its bright red petals
Make this horrible world
Fade away into pure desire
Giving us hope, for what’s to come tomorrow

This rose of hope
Fills our hearts with a love so pure
A love never seen
A love that will endure

Only a fraction of what you are
This rose of hope represents only part of you
With you on this earth, with you by my side
You give me a love I never knew

You are the rose of hope
Filling my heart with a love so pure
A love I have never seen
A love that will always endure

    rose of hope...I could use one of those....beautiful poem...and refreshing...usually it's about the rose withering or death or something like that...this is really lovely :) I don't like the beginning so much, but I love the last 5-6 stanzas.
