I'm so sorry that things turned out this way,
I never meant it to end like this.
I wanted us to be together forever,
I only hope you remember that I exist.

I didn't want to say goodbye,
Especially to a person like you.
All I wanted was to be by your side,
Through all the years when we grew.

But I guess I was always wrong,
And It never crossed my mind.
That I would move to another place,
And then leave you all behind.

I never thought that would happen,
To a kind of person such as me.
I guess I was always wrong then,
Cause I was too blinded to actually see.

I knew you were mad at me,
For bailing out on you like now.
But all I can say is I'm sorry,
For ever taking that kind of vow.

I couldn't keep the promise,
To always stay by your side.
I'll never forget what you said,
A thousand tears my heart has cried.

But all I could do was watch you,
Watch as you slowly faded away.
And all I could do was say sorry,
As the years go by, day by day.
