Untangling You

by blackheartinlove   Aug 1, 2005

Glimmering hearts hanging from strings,
Pretty hope, dangling from lifeless hooks,
Captivated young eyes,
Romantically placed looks,

Smiles of all kinds,
Placed on a counter of love-taught lips,
Young love wrapped tightly in forever ness,
Beautiful kisses hanging from clips,

I gaze upon these empty shelves,
Wishing to find you there,
I tighten my loveless eyes,
I’ll find you, not much more of this I can bare,

I unfasten them again, with high hopes of an idea,
I will create the perfect love, I will,
Saddened and broken I remove the qualities of a perfect love from their spaces,
Module them together, in the hopes love I did not kill,

I beg and wish,
This was something I wouldn’t have to do,
I close my eyes,
But amazingly I awaken to you,

It was complete,
I could tell the moment we lay promising looks upon loveless eyes,
I’ve broken the barriers,
Love no longer travels in dark disguise,

Your tired eyes grow nearer,
Tiny souls will divide,
Your compassion becomes clearer,
These, the rules you will abide.
