Acorn in the concrete

by Foresaken_Tears   Aug 1, 2005

On that new dawns breeze
I looked for you
Thought this time a friend
Might have followed in my wake.
But just the sparkling dew
Welcomed my chilled flesh
Am I to be destroyed,
And how much can I take?

My carnivorous roar will thunder
amongst the waltzing Yew
And skin torn deep like meat
Will captivate every hour
Of belonging to one so strong,
Facing the wrath of conscience,
Sowing the seeds of doubt;
Whilst basking in your power...

....so why the name??? well, in short this poem was an idea that had substance to it, but in the end went no-where. It had no conclusion... Hence acorn in the concrete.. If you sow a seed in stone it is unlikely to grow, but generally this was probably one of my far fetched theories so if its confusing - ignore it.
