An Invitation to the Alcoholic

by Kelly Katherine   Aug 1, 2005

Spend some time
Let your mind unwind
Relax
Drop in for a while

Harmless and fun
So easily done
Relax
It'll give you a smile

Drain one more cup
Drink it on up
Relax
Consume some in style

Don't answer the phone
Just sit all alone
Relax
It's all worth your while

Don't visit your friend
Just sip - comprehend?
Relax
Just let it beguile

Don't go into work
That you can shirk
Relax
Avoid one more trial

Don't get out of bed
Just fill up with dread
Relax
Feel a little hostile

Don't eat any food
That's not at all good
Relax
Swallow down the bile

Drink the alcohol
Drink it, drink it all
Relax
Your life's now so vile

Thoroughly unpleasant
You're nothing but a peasant
Relax
It'll be over in a while

Now without peace
Soon life will cease
Relax
Let's others revile

Darkness surrounds
An abyss, without sounds
Relax
Drop in for a while....
