Behind these eyes of mine I hide I hide my emotions And I hide myself Behind these eyes of mine Lies the real me The me you never get to see The me I hide and hold inside Behind these eyes of mine Is a world unseen A place only touched by me A place I'd like to be Behind these eyes of mine Are tears of sorrow and joy Tears I've had to cry Tears I've had to dry Behind these eyes of mine Is the me That I want to be The me I want you to see Behind these eyes of mine Are secrets and stories That nobody knows That nobody will ever know Behind these eyes of mine Are my many hopes and dreams Many have been shattered Or pushed out of the way Behind these eyes of mine Is my soul The very soul That can never be stolen
