I had like you a lot, and you lied and said you did, too
You will not be able to believe how happy I was to be going out with you

It started out weak, but began to build strong
I thought you loved me back, but I guess i was wrong

I began to love you with all of my heart
But it was over before you could start

I thought I was over you, but I'd spoken to quickly
I saw your face and I turned back instantly

I was beginning to accept that we were over
Guessing that someone had stolen my four-leaf clover

Soon after I found out why you broke up with me
The pieces came together and I could finally see

You felt awkward for some strange reason
I guess summer just wasn't our season

Now I wish that I wasn't taken
For buried feelings have awakened

You still kind of like me and I defintiely like you
You have no idea what kind of hell you put me through

Old feelings are setting off an alarm
Nothing would make me happier than to have you back in my arms
