I really thought you loved me
I thought you really cared
I thought you treasured what we had
and the memories we shared

I thought I was your only girl
the true love of your life
I thought we had it all
until you stabbed me with a knife

Now you say you love her
but you can't love me too
it's time for you to make your choice
its time for you to choose

I can't be second best
I can't be the girl left behind
I need to be your only one
the girl always on your mind

I can't stop my tears from falling
and now I'm afraid they'll never end
maybe I'll cry myself to death
cause i didn't think my heart will ever mend

Now I'm all alone in this world
with no one to hold me when i cry
you picked her over me
so I guess this is good bye

You taught me how to laugh, boy
and you taught me how to live
you taught me how to smile
and you taught me how to live

But then you taught me how to cry
and how it felt to have my heart break
I'll always love you, boy
you were my best mistake
