Lifetime Loneliness.

by ambika   Aug 3, 2005

In this lifetime of loneliness,
Clouded by judgement and fear.
Surrounded by disdain and resentment.
Embedded by a world beyond all hope.
An understanding, which cannot be understood.
An ocean in which nothing can live,
And nothing can breathe or be free.

Lonely thoughts have owned me,
Body, mind, and soul.
Taking over everything,
I once called my own.
Be it light or be it dark.
My world will never be the same.

I see everything around me,
Through the eyes of a stranger.
Intertwining memories,
That have fallen from remembrance.

Re-living an unknown past
In the future, yet to come.
Forever dreaming of nightmares,
From the depths of whence I came.
Drowning in a sea of sorrow.
Endless today and beginning less tomorrow.
A power so strong it has me
Blinded and fearful of my potential.
Capable, yet unable
Of stopping the pain,
And willing everything
Away, from lifetime loneliness.
