Growing Old With Pride

by Ann Stareyes   Aug 6, 2005

I guess you can say we still got spunk
Even though we're growing old and gray
The wrinkles are beginning
As we age every day.

Our youth is slowly disappearing
Our beauty fading each day
Age is truly slipping up on us
The years are flying away.

Our bodies are a little tattered
Our movement not as quick
The aches come a little more often
And our minds not as slick.

But we're still young at heart
Loving each other still the same
Now as we grow old together
We don't have any shame.

Being young doesn't last for-ever
Growing old truly is part of life
We'll now walk every step with pride
Until God grants us... our stripes.

    "Our beauty fading each day"

You are beautiful, Ann, all of you ladies are. And to me, as you get wiser and older, you grow more beautiful. You obviously have a beautiful soul and a heart to match. This was awesome, loved it!
