You;re with her now

by Beautifully Broken..*   Aug 6, 2005

Although you're getting closer,
you are fading away.
and I know I cannot stop you,
Because if you wanted to stay you'd stay.
And when I scream out your name you don't hear.
Not a sound reaches your ear in the whirlwind of darkness, this dungeon of despair.
Everything is dark and heavy, even the air.
And my heart is still beating even though it is broken,
and my mouth is still moving although I'm outspoken.
And I try to think of what to say, because you're coming near.
And when I find the right words,
you just sort of disappear.
And I try to keep my thoughts from racing through my head,
but it doesn't work.
Pictures of you flood through my memory, long days sitting at home by ourselves in the storms of springtime,
Only the glowing light of the television set guided our hope and dreams our individuality
And although my eyes are filled with tears, I do not cry.
I just let the darkness swallow me,
I do not make a sound,
Because what's the use in convincing you,
because you're with her now.
