Staying true to myself
Is staying true to you
Showing my love for you
Is all I can do

Many people will come
And many more people will go
But the love that we share
Is like a river, it flows

I would never go against us
For fear that I might
Lose my one and my only
Just the though gives me fright

But the one fact I've learned
This one thing that stands
Comes not from when we
Kiss, talk, or hold hands

This intense and lasting feeling
That each time feels new
Comes when our hearts are strongest;
