Under these circumstances

by cochise   Aug 7, 2005

A boy on vacation came to her town,
no three week friends or souvenirs but a soul mate he found,
it was on the first of the fateful three weeks he came,
which would change two lives forever and never again leave the same,
it was on a breezy Monday afternoon when these eyes first met,
two hearts linked from opposite sides of the boardwalk as the sun did set,
both walked toward one another as they've known each other forever,
the night lights sprung on the walk and shined a spotlight on them as they had their first words together,
never did a moment of silence fall on the two as time went on,
except for every time when she gave him a kiss, or walked away was the only times his breath was withdrawn,
throughout their time they spent every moment with each other as they could,
only thing holding them from being together forever was parents, and the wall where time stood,
sneaking out of her hotel, sneaking out of his house at night,
no level of punishment could get in the way of which each one had in sight,
then that frightful day that they dared not speak came around,
two lovers forever, to separate they were bound,
for she lived on the other side of the world, and he lived here,
they said their long goodbyes, and gave each other a kiss to the one they held so near,
they swore to write as often as they could get a chance,
knowing that their long distance love would once come together again,
but for right now it was the chains of age, and distance that held these two lovers apart,
but the parents, and the distance could not break the closeness of their hearts,
under these circumstances who knows if they will ever meet again,
everyday they just sit and wait on each letter, and on the next day because only time knows when
