Goodnight

by SARAH   Aug 8, 2005

(written from a guy's point of view)

I glance over at you as you sleep
And I can't help but think to myself
That you really don't know
How beautiful you truly are.
As I gaze into your sleeping face
I have to smile at the peacefulness
And of course the way you're all cuddled up
With that ragged old teddy bear.
After watching you sleep for hours
I begin to grow tired myself.
I gently kiss you on the cheek
And then turn off the light.
I slip my arm around you
And feel the warmth of your body.
I close my eyes and whisper "I love you" and "Goodnight".
Then I drift off to sleep.
