A Poem By A Grieving Vampire

by kelly   Aug 9, 2005

Oh my love,
Why haven’t you risen?
Risen from beneath your stone.
This petty world would be ours for the taking,
The taste of blood
Could be sweet on our tongues.
Oh my love,
Why haven’t you woken?
Woken from your dreamless sleep.
The mortal lives could be ours for the taking,
The taste of human souls
Could be heaven on ours tongues.
Oh my love,
Why haven’t you risen?
Risen to feed off the life force...
Risen from beneath your stone.
I would give you this pathetic world,
My useless non-life,
The sweet tang of blood,
If you would just
WAKE!
Please, wake from your dreamless sleep!
Good night then
My love
I say to your stone,
As morning dawns, there will be no more me,
But my love for you,
And only you,
Will live on always and forever
As I wait for the sun
To take my pitiless life.
