Remember Me, Remember This

by williamcampbell   Aug 11, 2005

Please listen up, please listen well,
For in your shoes I once did dwell.
The rocks around that held me up,
I soon found out they were corrupt.
The one I thought would love me so,
Was unfaithful, I watched her go.
Friends stabbed my back, while others watched,
My love, my trust forever botched.
Family crumbled, parents were gone,
I tried and tried to get along.
Yes tried to be strong, persevere,
I tried to love but love I feared,
My trust was gone, No strength was found.
Man all the waves came crashing down.
Yeah everything came closing in,
Down on the mat, my life was pinned.
Living for what living for who?
No one will care ‘bout what I do.
It will all stop it all will end
I will sit and die without a friend.
But in my mind I realize,
What will this cause but glassy eyes?
You can’t end pain by causing pain,
For the cycle repeats again.
Now search this life and hold on tight,
Just find your nitch, you’ll be alright.
And while you search for your purpose,
Remember me, remember this.
Love is out there, just wait and see,
Love is waiting to set you free.
