My Own Advice

by Bia   Aug 12, 2005

I preach to my girls,
about boys like you.
Don't let him get away,
with things a real man wouldn't do.

I tell them all the time,
let him know that your a queen.
Show him you will be put first,
not somewhere in between.

Don't let him get the best of you,
never let him see you cry.
Let him know that your not scared,
to get up and leave him high and dry.

Let him know there are no second chances,
You don't have time for games.
And please let God be with him,
if he calls you out your name.

He will always respect you,
if you help him understand.
A real man will walk away,
before he raises his hand.

I should take my own advice,
and just get up and walk away.
But everytime I try to,
something in my heart makes me stay.
