It's my life!!

Oh daddy can't you see?
that little girl just isn't me!
I'm not the one you think i am!
now I'm grown up you don't give a damn!
i used to be your little girl
i was once a baby - with just one curl
back then you loved me quite alot
when you and mum bought me my first cot!
but now I'm older you just don't care!
i don't think the way you treat me is very fair!
i tried to love you daddy, trust me, i really did!
but sometimes you just treat me like some stupid little kid!
I'm grown up now dad, can't you realize that?
i can handle my own life, it's my turn to bat!
will i hit a winner? or will i stay at first base?
i will never know, my life is like a race
I'm like your baby birdie dad, but it's my chance to fly!
i know i might make the wrong decision, i know it might make me cry!
but I've gotta make my own mistakes, I've gotta live my life!
what will you do when I'm older and I'm someones wife??!!
i know i may sound stupid dad, and you can call me dum
but what I'm about to say is to you as well mum!
I'm not some little doll, you know?
i have feelings, i could get up and go!
but i haven't yet, and do you know why?
because i love you both and i don't wanna say bye!
