All Alone

by .:.:.aidanG.:.:.   Aug 13, 2005

I sit here in this room alone,
Waiting for someone to come,
To come and rescue me,
From the death defying dream.

Deep drowning in my tears,
I can’t swim to the top,
Can’t stop from what’s happening,
All the shouting and screaming.

Locked in the room,
Which was my sanctuary,
My escape from all the fights,
Which made me cry.

All I had was my friendly knife,
Which helped me escaped pain,
Even through those times,
When I wanted to die.

But after all the fighting has finished,
I’m still frightened,
By what could happen next time,
I’m still frightened.

My world is half asleep,
I’m trying to awake from,
This dream that scares me,
Which has the ropes tightened.

My heart has become fragile,
Shaken by words said,
To one another,
When the worst was yet to arrive.

I did not want to emerge from my room,
But I knew I had to eventually,
Unless I end this life,
But I have to survive.

I had to hold on strong,
I had to hang on,
This was going to get better,
When I become strong,
It was not easy,
To become brave,
But I knew what I really was,
I was weak all along.

I will always be alone,
Sitting all alone,
In my room,
All alone.
