The tears slide down my cheeks
As I realize the chance will never come
You’ll never know
Just how much you really mean to me
Now that you are forever out of my grasp
I realize I missed the chance
Of being with you
Being that special someone
Contempt in only being a friend
But wanting more
The tears slide down my cheeks
As I realize how much I cared for you
That you will never be mine
That my tears for you are meaningless
Because you never could be mine to begin with
