Yourself You Should Not Kill

You lay in your bed at night
Wondering if you should end your life
There's a gun in your dad's closet
And if not that, there's a knife

You decide to go with the gun
One shot in the head
It's easy, you won't feel anything
One little bullet, then your dead

The next morning, in the paper
There's an article that reads
"Another Teen Suicide"
It's worse than it may seem

So much of this is happening
So many young lives are lost
Killing themselves over pity things
Death is too great a cost

We all have moments in our life
When we think things couldn't get worse
But if you have alittle hope
Time will prevail the curse

God wouldn't give you a mountain
You could not climb
Killing yourself isn't the answer
Nor is keeping your feelings inside

You should talk to someone about everything
They'll listen, trust me they will
Because death is not the answer
Yourself you should not kill
