My Kind of Puzzle

by Idiosyncratic   Aug 16, 2005

Pieces of pain
Fit humbly together
Expressing chagrin
Distracting thoughts of slumber

They click together
While fitting flawlessly
But only what must be known
Explaining compendiously

Once together they blend
Becoming a combination
Of consistent unison
And hopeless addiction

A medley of screams
A sorrowful collection
Unlikely, but obvious
Simple trepidation

Each edge becomes a corner
Each piece becoming part
The stamina one must have
To tear the horror from a heart

Brick by brick
It is rebuilt
Standing on
It's trembling stilts
Shudders with stress
Of an overload
Allowing only one last guess
Before destroying it's abode
