A lasting frienship

In the beginning you wasn't a friend
But we soon found out that would end
We had our times of ups and downs
We had our moments and our frowns
As time went by our friendship did coast
As time went by we didn't boast
We dated once but we both did see
It was very good for you or me
But after that we stuck by each other
We were close like a sister and a brother
We had our times of when we fought
But you always mad me laugh a lot
You always had a smile on your face
When i was alone you filled that empty space
You helped me threw alot of tears
And we knew each others fears
You always had a joke to say
You knew me in a different way
You somehow always knew what was wrong with me
When I wanted to be alone you let me be
But after that you cheered me up
When I was thirsty you filled my cup
You never once told me a lie
And I never got to say goodbye
But you are with God and that is good
So watch over me if you would
Up in heaven is where you'll be
But lasting friends always between you and me
