A friend once asked me

by AngelWithin   Aug 25, 2005

One cold bitter night when the moon was high,
A friend came over to me
and glanced at the sky.
"Does my boyfriend love me" She said with a sudden sound
She then looked foolishly down at the ground.

"Does your boyfriend love you?" I said once again
"This is the boy that would give you his life for your love.
He would catch you a single white dove
He is the one that you chose
He see's beauty in one single red rose"

Her eyes began to fill, tears of blue
"Are you lieing or are you being true?"
I smiled, she looked at me
"Now listen here, don't be silly.
He'd buy you fortunes of diamonds and gold,
He's get you precious things of money untold
If he could
He would"
She wiped away a teer from her cheek
reassuring words did my friend seek.
"Cupids bow has hit his heart,
and from you he does'nt wish to part.

For if you did it was break, into sorrow dreams and twisted ache"
A smile appeared on the young girls face
There were no tears to trace
And she felt her heart pound in her chest
"He's the love of my life, he must be the best"
Now I felt a feeling inside
What was it? I had nothing to hide..
Except that sudden feeling I had
I knew it was wrong, I knew it was bad
The boy she had was the one I would desire
He sent my mind floating higher and higher
But nothing was there I could do
I just had to leave them.
The Loving two.

    Thank you everyone!
I came up with this one after my friend asked me the very same question, though if I had spoken to her like that, she would have thought I was crazy.
