Watching and waiting

by Ali   Aug 25, 2005

She's standing alone,
caught up in dark troubles,
She's lost,
And hurt,
I wish i could help her,
Guide her and care for her,
But every time i reach out,
She runs away,
Every time i try to speak,
She covers her ears,
She's out of reach,
She wont listen to me,
She runs away to others,
But everyone she gets close to,
Leaves her alone,
Feeling empty and lost,
Ever thing she touches turns to dust,
I wish she could see,
That I'll never leave,
i wont turn to dust,
I'll be here to mend her broken heart,
If only she'd let me,
I could brighten up her dark world,
If only she'd let me in.

I watch from afar,
as she wades through the cold waters,
The dark abyss,
The never ending turmoil,
I can't help,
I can't save her,
I can only watch in vain,
as she continues on,
down the darkening path,
to the frozen gates,
of her empty fate.
