My Sleeping Bear

by xdiamondwingsx   Aug 28, 2005

~º This poem wasn't written by me, it was actually written by my mother in 1985, and it's pretty good so I decided to post it. PLEASE comment and vote, I'm sure she'd love the feedback!! º~

He sleeps on, my sleeping bear
Far away, without a care
I sit and wait so patiently
My bear, he sleeps contentedly

I shall let him doze some more
It is only six-to-four
My sleeping bear, he's dead for sure
For my bear, sleep's his cure

Soon again, I shall try
To awaken him, oh my, my!
With a turn, and grunt and groan,
My bear shall wake up with a moan

But when he does, he'll want to eat
At least, once he's on his feet
Perhaps he'll like my small surprise
Once my bear opens his eyes!
