Father's Brutality~ Sorry it's so long~But it's very sad

by I am Michelle   Aug 30, 2005

He looked at his daughter with such disgrace
She closed her eyes tightly as he punched her in the face
He loathed her so desperately it was worse than hate
She wondered silently to herself if this was truly her fate

She never understood what she had done wrong
She had to lock herself in her room and blast some song
It was the only way to block out the yelling and swearing
She wanted her dad back, the one who was nice and caring

Days were scary and hard for her to bear
Nights were worse as she staid in her room hugging her teddy bear
She was twelve years old and her hope was lost
For being the daughter of an awful man she was finally paying the cost

She tried to stay strong as she held her feelings inside
She was too afraid she’d get mixed up in this terrible tide
Everyone asked if she was doing “OK”
She always replied, “ I take it day by day”

But they never knew what she suffered everyday
They will always believe everything that she will say
They couldn't see the sadness hidden in her blue eyes
They couldn't see the bruises or hear the painful cries

It frightened her to know that there was no one out there who cared
Sadness and anger built up inside her and she grew suddenly scared
She had enough of living her life with all these fears
She wanted it to stop and put an end to these falling tears

Her father she wanted gone and out of her life
She wanted him out so she wouldn't have to take the knife
Her life was ruined by this awful and terrible boy
He beat her badly and treated her like a toy

Her mom left her when she was only two years old
Her dad took her in instead of leaving her in the cold
He didn't know what kind of burden a child would bring
Now he hated her and thought she was a horrible little thing

One day she came home for school as fast as she could
Her dad was coming home early to beat her and she knew he would
She swung open the door and started running to her room
She had to get there quick or she’d have to fear doom

But she was too late as she ran right into her dad
She knew he was going to tell her that she’s been very bad
She wanted to hide far far away from her father
She wished she didn't have to be her father’s daughter

He grabbed her wrist and threw her onto the floor
He reached up with one had to slam the front door
“ It’s about time you get what you deserve, child!”
He yelled at her, his face was completely filed

She screamed out in horror as he climbed on top of her chest
He had a mission, a horrible and disgusting quest
He slapped her in the face as she began to cry
She hated herself so badly, now all she wanted was to die

Things got worse as he slammed her from wall to wall
He picked her up and started walking down the darkened hall
He smashed her head against the wall as she stopped screaming
She fell unconscious as she fell to the floor and started dreaming

The neighbor’s heard all the screaming as they called the for a cop
They wanted the horror to finally come to a stop
But when they police finally got there they thought it was too late
They knew that this repulsion couldn't have been her fate

They brought her to the emergency room trying to safe her life
They had to get ready for; she was going under the knife
They removed her spleen, and had to cast seven broken bones
They knew she was living her life in terrible and dreadful tones

She was in a coma and they weren't sure if she was going to keep her life
They were scared and it was dangerous being under the knife
They all prayed for this broken child on the bed
She was in casts and had a wrap around her head

Her father went to jail for child abuse
He didn't care because to him she was never any use
He was happy she was out of his terrible life
Now he could move on and try to find a wife

But for now she’ll lay sickened in the hospital bed
Not knowing what’s going on or what’s been said
It’s a life to death situation that was scary for everyone
Hopefully she’ll make it out of and reality won’t weigh a tone

This is a very sad poem. It gets me furious at the father. I don't know how a parent could do that to there child.
